Hill International Awarded Contract to Deliver New Mumbai Transit Link in India

Hill International has received a contract from the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority to provide the general consultancy services for the $2.26-billion Mumbai Metro Line 4 as part of a consortium consisting of DB Engineering & Consulting GMBH as the lead partner and Louis Berger Consulting Pvt. Ltd. as another partner. The project consists of a 32.3-kilometer elevated corridor and includes 32 stations along the Wadala-Ghatkopar-Mulund-Thane-Kasarvadavali corridor. Hill is serving in a consortium whose general services will comprise design review, project management and construction supervision. The project is expected to reduce current travel times by 50-75 percent, according to officials.

HOCHTIEF, VINCI to Design & Build Copenhagen Metro Line

Metroselskabet has awarded a EUR $460-million Design-Build contract for Sydhavn Metro Line (Line 4) in Copenhagen, Denmark, to an equal-parts joint venture consisting of HOCHTIEF Infrastructure and VINCI Construction Grands Projets. HOCHTIEF will be the technical leader of the joint venture. This Design-Build project for the southern metro line is a six-year mandate that calls for the construction of dual 4.4-kilometer tunnels using two earth-pressure tunnel boring machines along with five underground stations and two crossover structures. Hyperloop Transportation Technologies has received the first set of tubes designed to move both people and freight to their research and development center in Toulouse, France. With an interior diameter of 4 meters, the system is optimized both for passenger capsules and shipping containers. CPB Contractors Wins $84M Gunyama Park Aquatic and Recreation Centre

CPB Contractors has been selected by the city of Sydney, Australia to design and construct the Gunyama Park Aquatic and Recreation Centre, the largest pool complex to be built in the city since the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games.
