The topping out of the Women’s Sports Program Expansion project at Clemson University in South Carolina was recently celebrated. The project expansion has reached its full height for new and upgraded facilities that will serve lacrosse, gymnastics and rowing teams. Brasfield & Gorrie is the general contractor on the project. ABC Reports Construction Job Openings Decreased by 5,000 in June

The construction industry had 374,000 job openings on the last day of June, according to an Associated Builders and Contractors’ analysis of data from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics’ Job Openings and Labor Turnover Survey. JOLTS defines a job opening as any unfilled position for which an employer is actively recruiting. The new outpatient pavilion at UC San Diego Medical Center, Hillcrest (California) has topped out. Part of the first phase of the UC San Diego Long Range Development Plan, the six-story, 250,000-square-foot facility will house key clinical programs, addressing the region’s growing demand for specialized diagnostic, treatment and surgical services, notably in cancer care.
