Mall of Oman Awarded LEED Platinum Certification

The joint venture of Consolidated Contractors Company and Shapoorji Pallonji Middle East’s Mall of Oman Project — located in Dubai, U.A.E. — was awarded the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Platinum certification this spring. The Mall of Oman project achieved a Platinum certification under the LEED 2009 Core and Shell Development rating system with a total of 81 points. Alabama School of Cyber Technology and Engineering Opens New Campus

As school resumed in August, Alabama School of Cyber Technology and Engineering students celebrated not only a new year and starting in new grades — they also began the school year at a new campus. The residential school, located in Huntsville, includes 76,500 square feet of academic space and 51,400 square feet of residences. Brasfield & Gorrie was the general contractor. Fuqua & Partners Architects served as architect of record in collaboration with design architect Perkins&Will. Landmark Tucson Convention Center Renovations Complete

Renovations were recently completed on the Tucson Convention Center. The $65-million project in downtown Tucson, Arizona was delivered in partnership with Sundt and Concord General Contracting. The project included 11 improvements across the campus, including updating the Leo Rich Theatre and the Linda Ronstadt Music Hall, renovating the main ballrooms and south exhibition hall and adding 32,000 square feet of meeting rooms, restrooms and lobbies. The upgrades will support conventions of many sizes, and technology upgrades to the 50-year-old building will support in-person, virtual or hybrid events. Equipment Finance Industry Confidence Eases in September

The Equipment Leasing & Finance Foundation released the September 2022 Monthly Confidence Index for the Equipment Finance Industry. The index reports a qualitative assessment of both the prevailing business conditions, and expectations for the future, as reported by key executives from the $900-billion equipment finance sector. Overall, confidence in the equipment finance market is 48.7, a decrease from the August index of 50. When asked about the outlook for the future, MCI-EFI survey respondent Bruce J.
