Historic Renovations Transform New Animal Care and Control Facility in San Francisco

The Clark Construction team has seismically retrofitted and renovated a 116-year-old historic structure to house the new San Francisco Animal Care and Control Facility in California. The modern, 65,000-square-foot multilevel facility is a transformative veterinarian care center featuring an animal hospital with specialty clinical and emergency room space, medical laboratory, X-ray and infirmary isolation functions. The project consisted of two adjacent buildings, the Burke Warehouse and the 1419 Bryan Street Building, constructed in 1893. Innovative solutions recently unveiled the 85-foot-tall river ceiling at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport for its North Satellite Modernization Project, located in Washington. The Hensel Phelps’ Pacific Northwest team was tasked with building the towering ceiling. During the early planning stages, it was determined that a scaffold would be the best way to build it. Completion of Multi-Level Parking Garage Signifies Milestone in $65M Downtown Tucson Improvement Project

Construction of a new multi-level parking structure on the east side of the Tucson Convention Center located in Tucson, Arizona, was recently completed—a significant milestone in the $65-million downtown improvement project. Sundt Construction, Inc. and its partner, Concord General Contracting, completed the structure a week ahead of the expected completion. Swaim Associates served as the architect on the project.
