AGC Recognizes Winner of Build America Award for APS Design-Build Project
Sundt Construction, Inc. was recently awarded its 23rd Associated General Contractors of America Build America Award for its work on the APS Four Corners Selective Catalytic Reduction Retrofits. The project won the 2019 JLT Build America in the Environmental Enhancement category. The award was presented during the AGC’s 100th Annual Convention Awards Luncheon in Denver, Colorado. NCCER Announces Fifth Annual I Built This! Construction Video Contest
NCCER and Build Your Future have announced the fifth annual I BUILT THIS! video contest. Designed to help promote construction as an industry of choice, the contest illustrates the unique perspective of trainees or students and allows them to share videos of their projects. Dodge Momentum Index Dips in April
The Dodge Momentum Index fell 0.5% in April to 144.3 (2000=100) from the revised March reading of 145.1. The momentum index, issued by Dodge Data & Analytics, is a monthly measure of the first (or initial) report for nonresidential building projects in planning, which have been shown to lead construction spending for nonresidential buildings by a full year. The retreat in April was the result of the commercial component falling 1% while the institutional component rose a scant 0.2%. Food Innovation Center at Colorado State University Global Hub for Food Science, Animal Welfare
Haselden Construction recently completed construction of the JBS Global Food Innovation Center at Colorado State University in Fort Collins. The $20-million facility brings technology and hands-on learning opportunities for students in the university’s animal sciences programs and will serve as a global hub for new product development, culinary research, food science, nutrition, food safety and animal welfare.
