FREDERICK, Md. — Bechtel recently announced that the company has completed construction of the Catalina Solar Photovoltaic Generating Facility. The company designed the 110-megawatt alternating-current solar plant located in Southern California's Kern County. A group of bystanders close to 40 strong joined Turner project team members as they observed the delivery of a 160-ton hydraulic radial press frame for installation at Carpenter Technology’s facility in Limestone County, Ala. Trimble Introduces Wireless Remote Laser Display for Construction
Trimble has introduced the Spectra Precision RD20 wireless in-cab remote display, expanding its laser machine display portfolio for construction. The RD20 works with the new wireless LR laser receivers to provide grade information to help operators increase productivity and improve safety. The remote display can quickly and easily be positioned, without cables, for optimum viewing in the cab. Large, bright LEDs display red, blue or green lights to signal high, low or on-grade. An audible signal is also provided, so the operator is free to focus on the work at hand.
