Gilbane Building Company, Landmark Properties, CUBE 3 Architects and subcontracting partners celebrated the official topping out of The Standard at Philadelphia, a new 280-unit luxury student housing project in University City, Pennsylvania. Gilbane is providing construction management at-risk services for the construction of the 18-story tower. The new 280-unit, 802-bed mid-rise building will feature upscale finishes, including gourmet kitchens, quartz countertops, stainless steel appliances, hardwood-style laminate floors and large closets. The National Center for Construction Education and has appointed its 2023 board of trustees executive committee and new board members. All board of trustees’ members represent contractors, owners, or partner associations and are recognized for their expertise in construction, construction workforce development or construction-related issues. Scott Marshall, who has been named chairperson, will head the compensation, budget and finance and nominating committees, as well as overseeing board governance.
