Swinerton Reaches Construction Milestone for DOCS Surgical Hospital

Swinerton has completed the closing-in phase of construction for the new six-story DOCS Surgical Hospital in Los Angeles, California. Designed by Cuningham Group, the project is expected to be complete in late 2026. The hospital will feature advanced operating theaters, robotic surgical technology and specialized imaging centers to improve efficiency and outcomes. With the building now enclosed, upcoming work includes the start of interior metal stud framing, placement of concrete for the slab-on-grade and continued installation of site utilities and underground tanks.
