Malisch, Ph.D., PE, concrete construction specialist, American Society of Concrete Contractors, received the World of Concrete Legacy Award Feb. 2, just prior to the show’s opening in Las Vegas, Nevada. WOC established the Legacy Award to recognize individuals who have made significant contributions to the concrete and masonry industries, and who have left a lasting mark on the show. Delbert Feenstra, of Knutson Construction’s Rochester, Minnesota division, has recently been named Builder of the Year by the Rochester Area Builders Association. Out of five nominees, Feenstra was selected by the association’s board of directors, an honor recognizing him for his time, enthusiasm and dedication to the association over the past year. Feenstra has been an active member of the RAB for nine years. In 2015 Feenstra served on the Development and Permit Process Advisory Committee, Program Committee, Executive Committee and board of directors.

DENVER, Colo. — Ware Malcomb was recognized recently by the Tilt-Up Concrete Association at the organization’s annual convention and awards gala with a 25th Annual Tilt-Up Achievement Award for its work on the Prologis Stapleton Business Center North Building 1 located in Denver, Colorado. The tilt-up warehouse is a 402,398-square-foot speculative facility and incorporated several architectural features including lay-up panels, floating panels and spandrels that reach over 50 feet. The corners of the building incorporated 3-story recessed storefront glass, covered canopies, floating panels and bearing spandrels.
