Topping-Out Celebration Held for HCA Trident Specialty Care Facility

A new 80,000-square-foot medical office building for HCA Healthcare in North Charleston, South Carolina has topped out. The facility will include clinical offices for the hospital’s cardiology, neurology and orthopedics departments; a cardiac rehab center and hospital and clinical administrative spaces. The project is part of HCA’s plan to relocate non-institutional functions out of the main hospital and into adjacent lower cost spaces. Ware Malcomb Begins Construction on Residential Conversion Project in Chicago

Ware Malcomb, an international design firm, announced construction has begun on 79 W. Monroe, Chicago’s first office-to-residential conversion. Built in 1905, 79 W. Monroe is the oldest surviving commercial structure designed by Chicago Architect Jarvis Hunt. The renovation project includes converting seven floors to create 117 residential units (with 41 units affordable), an upscale lobby and a full indoor/outdoor amenity floor. Hackensack Meridian Health topped off construction of its health and wellness center at a transit hub located in Woodbridge, New Jersey. When it opens later this year, it will offer more than 60,000 square feet of healthcare services just steps from one of the state’s busiest mass transit hubs. Willmeng Completes Work on Outdoor Addition to Historic Piper Writer’s House at ASU

Willmeng Construction has completed renovations of the President’s Cottage which housed Arizona State University’s presidents from 1907 to 1959. The house is now the Virginia G. Piper Center for Creative Writing. The Willmeng team led construction of a large, outdoor covered patio which provides the fondly referred to Piper Writer’s House with space to host larger gatherings, workshops and performances. The Piper Writer’s House was originally called the President’s Cottage and it served as the home for several university presidents until 1959 and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
