Robins & Morton joined Huntsville Hospital Health System on Oct. 21 to celebrate the groundbreaking of the new $30-million North Huntsville Freestanding Emergency Department. The project represents the largest healthcare investment ever made in North Huntsville, Alabama. The new facility will provide 24/7 emergency care for families in North Huntsville and surrounding communities, including Meridianville and Hazel Green. It will be staffed by board-certified physicians and equipped with advanced diagnostic imaging, including CT and ultrasound technology, on-site laboratory services and a helipad. Construction firm Robins & Morton joined Nor-Lea Hospital District on Aug. 4 in Lovington, New Mexico, to celebrate the ribbon cutting of the new professional physician clinic and mark the groundbreaking of the Nor-Lea North renovation and addition project. Construction firm Robins & Morton joined AdventHealth to celebrate the ribbon cutting of two freestanding emergency departments in Florida. A ceremony for AdventHealth Treat Oaks ER was held July 10. The 12-bed freestanding emergency department in St. Augustine is near State Road 207 and Wildwood Drive, east of Interstate 95. The ribbon cutting for AdventHealth Fruitland Park ER was held July 17. Prefab Delivers New Freestanding Emergency Department in North Carolina

A ribbon-cutting was held for Atrium Health’s new freestanding emergency department in Concord, North Carolina. The 11,021-square-foot project was built entirely using modular construction. The 10-bed facility was completed in less than 10 months. The offsite construction method offers several advantages, including faster project timelines, improved quality control, reduced onsite workforce, reduced waste, and minimized site disruption. Because much of the work occurs simultaneously – site preparation and module fabrication – projects can often be completed more quickly than with traditional construction methods. Robins & Morton was the general contractor for the project. Blox was the architect and manufacturer.
