Construction firm Robins & Morton, Anchor Health Properties, Baptist Health South Florida and LifePoint Rehabilitation celebrated the ribbon cutting of the new Baptist Health Rehabilitation Hospital in South Miami, Florida. The three-story, 100,000-square-foot facility features 62 private inpatient rooms, with the capacity to open an additional 30 private rooms. It offers specialized inpatient rehabilitation treatment for patients suffering from brain, spinal cord and other traumatic injuries, as well as select cardiac, oncology, orthopedic and stroke patients. Sherman’s healthcare landscape is poised for transformation, as Community Hospital Corporation has unveiled plans for a $400-million nonprofit acute care hospital. The newly planned facility, Heritage Regional Medical Center, will set a new benchmark for modern healthcare delivery by combining advanced technology, thoughtful design and compassionate patient care for Sherman and the surrounding community.
