The U.S. General Services Administration and U.S. Department of Homeland Security recently selected Clark Construction to provide general construction for the new Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency Headquarters at the St. Elizabeths West Campus in Washington, D.C. Skanska Completes North Carolina Surgical Hospital in Chapel Hill

UNC Health’s North Carolina Surgical Hospital has been completed. Rising seven-stories and spanning 375,000 square feet, Surgical Hospital is the largest addition to the Chapel Hill campus since it was built in 1952. Rosendin Begins Construction on UCSF Health Helen Diller Hospital

Rosendin, an electrical contractor, has begun work on the new UCSF Health Helen Diller Hospital in San Francisco, California. The $4.3-billion project at the University of California, San Francisco’s flagship campus at Parnassus Heights is dubbed “the hospital of the future.” In August 2020, Rosendin was selected to be part of the project team that includes preconstruction and design-build work for a 15-story outpatient tower, led by general contractor Herrero Boldt Webcor, a tri-venture partnership between Herrero Builders, The Boldt Company and Webcor. Howard S. Wright Selected to Deliver Vern Miller Civic Center Renovations

Howard S. Wright, a Balfour Beatty company, has been selected to deliver exterior and interior renovations to the Salem Civic Center/City Hall in Salem, Oregon to create a 21st century workplace for the mayor and city managers offices, city council chambers, municipal courts and planning and purchasing departments. Roughly $40 million in substantial renovations will be made to the 1970 Civic Center featuring a seismic retrofit and structural upgrades. Adolfson & Peterson Construction Awarded Austin Independent School District Projects

Adolfson & Peterson Construction was recently awarded the construction and renovation contract for Austin Independent School District’s Anderson and McCallum High Schools. Anderson High School, in Northwest Austin, Texas, was built in 1970. The renovation includes a 43,350-square-foot competition gym with an 1,800-seat capacity and locker rooms with coaches’ offices, training rooms, officials’ dressing rooms and laundry. Common spaces will feature a Hall of Honor and trophy cases, while the entry vestibule and front office will be reconfigured for security.
