A facility in Ohio that was formerly a hospital for Shriner’s has been transformed into the Blood Cancer Healing Center, a new space for patients served by the University of Cincinnati Cancer Center. The existing masonry façade has been sealed and restored, preserving the building’s historical integrity while ensuring modern functionality. The facility offers every aspect of care — from inpatient and outpatient services to survivorship, integrative medicine, spiritual support and cutting-edge research — all under one roof. Modernization of Historic Carnegie-Era Libraries Underway

Two Carnegie public library branches in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania will undergo extensive modernization, while also retaining the historic character of each. Working in conjunction with Rebuild Philadelphia and DIGroup Architecture, general contractors Pride Enterprises and TN Ward Company, respectively, recently broke ground for the reconstruction of these early 20th century-era buildings: the $13.2-million Carnegie-funded Paschalville (circa 1915) and the $8.5-million Blanche A. Construction is complete for the $3.3-million utility infrastructure extension project in preparation of construction of the Otay Mesa East Port of Entry located between the United States and Mexico from State Route 11. The project was awarded to Skanska by the San Diego Association of Governments and California Department of Transportation in July 2023.
