A ribbon-cutting ceremony recently celebrated the opening of the new Cone Health MedCenter in Asheboro, North Carolina. The $72-million, 51,500-square-foot facility features an urgent care, primary care, comprehensive cancer center and a pharmacy. The centerpiece is a $4-million linear accelerator. The device provides radiation treatments with submillimeter accuracy. When combined with equipment ensuring the patient is perfectly positioned, it provides the highest levels of safety, accuracy and treatment quality.
