A ribbon-cutting ceremony recently celebrated the opening of the new Cone Health MedCenter in Asheboro, North Carolina. The $72-million, 51,500-square-foot facility features an urgent care, primary care, comprehensive cancer center and a pharmacy. The centerpiece is a $4-million linear accelerator. The device provides radiation treatments with submillimeter accuracy. When combined with equipment ensuring the patient is perfectly positioned, it provides the highest levels of safety, accuracy and treatment quality. The four-story building, totaling 163,000 square feet, houses both mathematics and athletics. McCarthy Building Companies celebrated the concrete pour topping out of the Sun Family Campus, the $500-million Hoag Hospital Irvine expansion project located in Irvine, California.
