Restoration Complete of Iconic Adagio Mermaid Fountain at Weeki Wachee Springs State Park in Florida

The Adagio Fountain, featuring a statue of two mermaids in an adagio pose atop a 25-foot pillar, has greeted visitors to Florida’s Weeki Wachee Springs State Park since it was unveiled in 1966. Made of vintage masonry, the 56-year-old sculpture was experiencing cracks, spalling, deterioration and other damage when the Florida Department of Environmental Protection reached out to Western Specialty Contractors to resolve the issues. Erickson-Hall Completes High School STEM Building

Erickson-Hall Construction Co. joined the Los Alamitos Unified School District for a ribbon-cutting ceremony of Los Alamitos High School’s new $52-million STEM building in Orange County, California. The program featured speakers from the school, district, Board of Education and development team, as well as performances by the student marching band, show choir and jazz ensemble. The three-story STEM building serves as the new campus gateway. A mixed-use development in Alabama called Northriver Commons has been approved to be developed by Capital Growth Buchalter and Spaces Management. The estimated $60-million-project will provide approximately 225 one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments, 17,000 square feet of ground floor commercial space encompassing three restaurants, a 427-space parking deck, and more — all centered around a central community greenspace. Student Housing Expansion to Welcome Students in Fall

The $106-million Suites project, a student housing expansion project for CSU Fullerton (California) on the east side of campus, is complete. Sundt Construction served as the general contractor for the suite-style housing spaces geared toward returning sophomores and above that will welcome students this fall. The new 185,505-square-foot complex will accommodate 600 students within three six-story buildings. Each suite will hold eight students with four-bedroom, two-bath apartments and a small kitchenette. AECOM-Hunt Turner, Joint Venture Tops Out Concrete at LA Clippers’ Future Home Intuit Dome

Turner recently celebrated the topping out of the Intuit Dome’s concrete frame – the Los Angeles Clippers’ future home along with joint venture partner AECOM-Hunt. More than 200,000 hours of work performed by 350 workers went into completing the concrete frame.
