For over 50 years, Memorial Park in Houston, Texas has been divided in half by Memorial Drive and its busy traffic. Humans and animal traffic, alike, now enjoy a seamless and safe way to enjoy both sides of the 1,500-acre park with the construction of land bridges over recently completed vehicular tunnels. The Medical College of Wisconsin broke ground on its new 150,000-square-foot cancer research building that will help mitigate the cancer burden throughout eastern Wisconsin and beyond. MCW leadership along with supporters from the community and government representatives took part in the groundbreaking event at the Milwaukee Regional Medical Center. Once complete, the MCW Cancer Research Building will be the only cancer-dedicated research facility in Milwaukee and eastern Wisconsin. Turner Awarded Contract to Build Major Motion Picture Studio

Togus Urban Renewal has contracted Turner Construction Company to build a 1.5-million-square-foot motion picture and television studio in Bayonne, New Jersey. The name of the new facility, 1888 Studios, recognizes the year the motion picture camera was invented. The 17-building campus will include studio sound stage buildings, flexible support/office spaces and workshop/mill buildings in which the stage sets will be constructed and stored. New Underground Utilities Prepare Way for Harbor-UCLA Medical Center Replacement Hospital

Largescale utility construction is underway in Torrance, California, at the Harbor-UCLA Medical Center campus. The project is part of preparations for a replacement hospital, which is in the design phase. Abbott Construction is leading the make-ready utility portion of the project to support the new outpatient treatment and support building. The work goes deep underground, and includes electrical and telecommunication duct banks, domestic and fire water lines, storm system infrastructure and other low voltage utilities.
