Community Celebrates Grand Opening of Ameren Missouri North Metro Operating Center
Community leaders and stakeholders recently celebrated the grand opening of Ameren Missouri’s new $20.7-million North Metro Operating Center, located in St. Louis, Missouri and constructed through a joint-venture partnership with general contractors PARIC Corporation and KAI Build. The new North Metro Operating Center is built for up to 70 Ameren Missouri employees and serves more than 135,000 customers in North St. Louis and surrounding communities. John Somers Named AEM Vice President, Construction & Utility Sector
The Association of Equipment Manufacturers has named John Somers as its vice president, Construction & Utility Sector, effective immediately. Somers replaces Megan Tanel, who will succeed Dennis Slater as AEM president effective Jan. 1. Town of North Branford Celebrates Groundbreaking of New High School
Officials from the North Branford School District, the state of Connecticut and the Town of North Branford recently joined school faculty and staff, as well as representatives from Construction Solutions Group, Quisenberry Arcari Malik, LLC and Gilbane Building Company, gathered to celebrate the official groundbreaking of the new 106,000-square-foot North Branford High School. Nonresidential Construction Spending Contracts 0.6% in September, Says ABC
National nonresidential construction spending contracted 0.6% in September, according to an Associated Builders and Contractors analysis of data published recently by the U.S. Census Bureau. On a seasonally adjusted annualized basis, nonresidential spending totaled $791.2 billion for the month. Spending was down in 11 of the 16 nonresidential subcategories, with spending in amusement and recreation unchanged for the month.
