CIM Seeks Donations for 2026 Auction at World of Concrete

The Concrete Industry Management program – a business-intensive program that awards students with a four-year bachelor of science degree in concrete industry management – is seeking donations for its 2026 CIM Auction to be held at World of Concrete. The auction is scheduled for Wednesday, Jan. 21, 2026, at the Las Vegas Convention Center. Balfour Beatty, in joint venture with Clark/Sullivan, celebrated the completion and grand opening of the new Cesar Chavez Elementary School for Sacramento City Unified School District. The newly constructed campus replaces both Edward Kemble Elementary and Cesar Chavez Intermediate School, uniting them into a single, modern learning environment. Skanska Breaks Ground on Novo Nordisk Life Sciences Center in North Carolina

Skanska has been selected by Durham Tech Community College to build the Novo Nordisk Life Sciences Center at the college, located in North Carolina. The firm recently broke ground on the project which includes the demolition of the existing building. Construction is expected to be complete in March 2027. The new single-story 30,700-square-foot center will house 12 flexible, ballroom-style open lab modules, additional classroom space and various break rooms. The building will also feature study areas for the College’s BioWork and Biotechnology programs, as well as employee training space for life sciences companies. Swinerton Completes First Phase of Security Enhancement with Spokane Valley, Liberty Lake’s Central Valley School District

Swinerton Builders has completed the first phase of a $2.8 million, district-wide initiative to upgrade front entry vestibule systems for Spokane Valley and Liberty Lake’s Central Valley School District. The initial five of ten planned upgrades are now in place, reflecting CVSD’s commitment to creating safer, more controlled access points at its schools.
