Construction spending was a tale of two industries again in November, as soaring single-family construction masked ongoing downturns in private and public nonresidential construction, according to an analysis of new federal construction spending data by the Associated General Contractors of America. AISI Releases Updates to Cold-Formed Steel Design Standards

The American Iron and Steel Institute has updated six cold-formed steel design standards. AISI is an accredited consensus organization by the American National Standards Institute for developing American National Standards. The task of creating and updating cold-formed steel design standards is accomplished through two voluntary consensus committees—the AISI Committee on Specifications and the AISI Committee on Framing Standards.
