Most contractors expect demand for many types of construction to shrink in 2021 even as the pandemic is prompting many owners to delay or cancel already-planned projects, meaning few firms will hire new workers, according to survey results released by the Associated General Contractors of America and Sage Construction and Real Estate. AISI Releases Updates to Cold-Formed Steel Design Standards

The American Iron and Steel Institute has updated six cold-formed steel design standards. AISI is an accredited consensus organization by the American National Standards Institute for developing American National Standards. The task of creating and updating cold-formed steel design standards is accomplished through two voluntary consensus committees—the AISI Committee on Specifications and the AISI Committee on Framing Standards.
