The Boldt Company Wins Top Safety Awards in California

The Boldt Company has received the California Construction Employer’s Association highest safety awards for 2020. The firm’s Sacramento office was recognized with an Excellence in Safety Award and the President’s Safety Award from the association, marking the fifth time the company has earned safety awards from CEA. The Boldt Company has also achieved a safety accomplishment of logging seven consecutive years without a lost-time injury and nearly 300,000 hours worked without a recordable injury. U.S. Department of Labor Seeks Members to Serve on Advisory Committee on Construction Safety and Health

The U.S. Department of Labor’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration is accepting nominations for individuals to serve on the Advisory Committee on Construction Safety and Health. The 15-member group advises the Secretary of Labor and Assistant Secretary of Labor for Occupational Safety and Health on developing standards and policies affecting the construction industry. OSHA is seeking nominations for 14 members with experience and expertise in construction-related safety and health issues to fill five employee, five employer, two state safety and health agency and two public representative vacancies. The SEI Structural Engineers 2050 Commitment Program provides structural engineers with the necessary tools and resources to contribute and track projects toward the vision of net-zero embodied carbon structures by 2050. Sixth South, a 299-unit multifamily rental community within the downtown core of Nashville, Tennessee, recently topped out. Skanska USA is serving as general contractor. The 12-story building reached this milestone ahead of schedule, on pace for a fourth quarter 2021 opening.
