A Hyatt Centric hotel project for the upscale Apex SouthPark development in Charlotte, North Carolina, is underway with JE Dunn Construction as general contractor. The 135,000-square-foot Hyatt Centric SouthPark will feature 175 rooms and amenities including retail and restaurant on the ground level, bar and pre-function/ballroom on the second level and fitness and restaurant/bar on the ninth-level rooftop. Construction Employment Continues to Decline, AGC Calls for New Relief Steps

Construction employment decreased from June to July in 26 states and the District of Columbia as earlier widespread job gains gave way to more project cancellations, according to an analysis by the Associated General Contractors of America of government employment data.
