CEO Roundtable on Cancer Names 2019 Gold Standard Employer

Sundt Construction, Inc. has again been named a CEO Cancer Gold Standard employer for 2019. This accreditation is given by the CEO Roundtable on Cancer, a nonprofit organization of leading CEOs. To earn the CEO Cancer Gold Standard accreditation, a company must establish programs to reduce cancer risk by promoting a healthy lifestyle. Sundt encourages early detection through cancer screenings and access to quality treatment for its employees and covered family members. Sundt first received the designation in 2011. At the time, the company was the first construction company in the United States to achieve the accreditation.

Delaware River and Bay Authority Awards Memorial Bridge Protection System

Modjeski and Masters has recently been selected for the Delaware Memorial Bridge Protection System contract with the Delaware River and Bay Authority. As the prime consultant for this contract, Modjeski and Masters will design a vessel collision protection system for the northbound and southbound structures of the Delaware Memorial Bridge. The firm will design new pier protection cells and replace the channel-side fender system for the tower piers. Architecture Billings Remain Flat in May

Demand for design services in May remained essentially flat in comparison to the previous month, according to a new report from The American Institute of Architects. AIA’s Architecture Billings Index score for May showed a small increase in design services at 50.2, which is slightly down from 50.5 in April. Any score above 50 indicates an increase in billings.
