Grand Opening Celebrated at Lovington Wellness Center
Robins & Morton, Nor-Lea Hospital District and the Lovington, New Mexico community celebrated the grand opening of the Nor-Lea Hospital District’s Lovington Wellness Center last month. The long-anticipated 40,000-square-foot project brings a new fitness and wellness space to the area. It features a competition pool, therapy pool, full-size basketball court, walking track, climbing wall, free weights, exercise machines and group fitness classes. Child care space was also included in the scope and is now a service offered to the all the members of the new center.
Ground Broken for New Marriott-Branded Hotel
ST. LOUIS, Mo. – The Design & Build/HBD Construction, Inc. team has been selected to build one of the first new hotels in downtown St. Louis, Missouri in years – Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott. Construction Employment Picks Up in October, Says ABC
WASHINGTON, D.C. — The U.S. construction industry added 30,000 net new jobs in October, according to an analysis from the Associated Builders and Contractors of data from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. The industry has added 330,000 net new construction jobs over the past 12 months, a 4.7 percent increase. Additionally, nonresidential construction employment grew by 13,500 net new jobs in October, with job growth split evenly between the heavy and civil engineering subsector (+7,100) and nonresidential specialty trade (+7,500). Brasfield & Gorrie Relocates Atlanta-Area Office
ATLANTA, Ga. – Brasfield & Gorrie opens its relocated Cobb County office in the area around SunTrust Park and The Battery Atlanta in Georgia. The move from the company’s previous Kennesaw location to a completely renovated 113,000-square-foot office building increases the company’s space by about 43,000 square feet and will allow the general contractor to continue to expand in a growing, conveniently located neighborhood.
