Construction Employment Rises in 43 States, D.C. from June 2017 to June 2018

Forty-three states and the District of Columbia added construction jobs between June 2017 and June 2018, while 32 states and D.C. added construction jobs between May and June, according to a recent analysis released by the Associated General Contractors of America of Labor Department data. CHARLOTTE, N.C. – JE Dunn Construction has been selected as the construction manager for a new Agricultural Sciences Center for the North Carolina Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, located in Raleigh, North Carolina. Dodge Momentum Index Moves Higher in June

NEW YORK, N.Y. – The Dodge Momentum Index grew .8 percent in June to 165.5 (2000=100) from the revised May reading of 164.2. The momentum index is a monthly measure of the first (or initial) report for nonresidential building projects in planning, which have been shown to lead construction spending for nonresidential buildings by a full year. MYCON General Contractors Begins Construction on New Ambulatory Surgery Center

DALLAS, Texas – MYCON has started construction on a new ambulatory surgery center located in Plano, Texas. The 20,000-square-foot ophthalmology clinic and ASC facility will include two operating rooms with pre- and post-surgery rooms, consultation and diagnostic areas, offices and reception area. The project architect is Browne McGregor Architects Inc. The owner is Brooks Eye Associates. Construction began in June of this year and is targeted for completion in January 2019.
