Women in Construction Operations Celebrates Five Years, Installs New Board Members
NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. – Women in Construction Operations is now five years old. WiOPS celebrated this milestone by highlighting its work in mentoring, relationship building and technical training for females in the construction industry during an anniversary party last month. Architecture Billings Continue Growth into 2018
WASHINGTON, D.C. – The new year started on a strong note for architecture firms, as the Architecture Billings Index saw its highest January score since 2007. The American Institute of Architects reported the January ABI score was 54.7, up from a score of 52.8 in the previous month. This score reflects an increase in design services provided by U.S. architecture firms (any score above 50 indicates an increase in billings). Work Begins on Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Expansion
CHICAGO, Ill. – Gilbane Building Company has commenced construction on the new pharmaceutical manufacturing site expansion for Fresenius Kabi in Melrose Park, Illinois. The scope of work includes construction of a new $250-million, state-of-the-art manufacturing campus for generic sterile injectable pharmaceuticals. The expansion will feature fully automated aseptic filling lines using state-of-the-art isolator technology, expanded lyophilization (freeze-drying) capabilities, formulation areas, a dedicated warehouse for raw materials and components and an administration building with conference center, laboratories, office space and a cafeteria.
