Skanska USA Builds Alamo Colleges Administration Complex in San Antonio

Skanska USA has signed a contract with Alamo Colleges to build its new District Support Operations Administration Complex in San Antonio, Texas. The contract is worth $45 million. The new facility will include approximately 52,000 square feet of class A office space, 500 parking spaces, office suites, a conference center, campus police headquarters and dispatch and a central utility plant. Construction will begin in January 2017 and is slated for completion in July 2018.

The 818,000-square-foot project is situated on a 47-acre site with three entrances onto the property and includes a 788,845-square-foot processing and distribution center with administration, maintenance and employee support areas and is located in Portland, Oregon. The distribution facility features areas specified for a Business Mail Entry Unit and United States Postal Inspection Services. Construction Industry Alliance Announces New Resources Aimed at Suicide Prevention

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Associated Builders and Contractors have made new resources available to its members through its membership in the Construction Industry Alliance for Suicide Prevention. ABC joined the Construction Financial Management Association-led alliance in October 2016 to help provide resources and disseminate information on suicide prevention and mental health awareness in the construction industry, with a goal of building a zero-suicide industry.
