ATLANTA, Ga. – JE Dunn Construction recently completed a new child care and education center for WellStar Health System, Inc., in Marietta, Georgia. The three-story, 32,200-square-foot Learning Academy at WellStar Kennestone Hospital serves infants through Pre-K, and is managed by Bright Horizons. The project’s construction value was $9.5 million. The architect of record is Stanley Beaman & Sears of Atlanta. ABC Chief Economist Predicts Stable 2018 Construction Economy

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Associated Builders and Contractors Chief Economist Anirban Basu predicts stability for the construction industry’s economy and expanding nonresidential construction spending in 2018. Architecture Billings Upturn Shows Broad Strength

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Even with the uncertainty related to pending tax reform legislation that likely will have a mixed effect on the construction industry, design services at architecture firms remains in high demand. The American Institute of Architects reported the November ABI score was 55.0, up from a score of 51.7 in the previous month. Construction Jobs Numbers Rebound in November

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The nation’s construction sector added 24,000 net new jobs in November, representing a 0.3 percent month-over-month increase, according to an Associated Builders and Contractors analysis of Bureau of Labor Statistics data recently released. Nonresidential construction employment added 8,600 net new jobs in November, a figure that would have been substantially higher were it not for heavy and civil engineering, which lost 7,800 for the month.
