$50M Addition, Renovation Project Begins at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital – Hoke

A $50-million addition and renovation project at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital – Hoke in Raeford, North Carolina broke ground. Encompassing 50,000 square feet, the project includes a two-story addition with 24 patient rooms, a new medical office building and improvements to the existing sterile processing, imaging, kitchen, and dining facilities. The project is scheduled for completion in 2027. Robins & Morton is the general contractor. Grace Design Studios is the architect.

Architecture Firm Billings Continue to Contract Heading into 2026

The AIA/Deltek Architecture Billings Index dropped to 43.8 in January, down from 47.1 in December, signaling a greater number of firms experienced a decline in billings compared to the previous month. In January, inquiries for new projects dropped for the  first time since April 2025, alongside a decline in newly signed design contracts, as client uncertainty persisted and new projects tended to be smaller in scale. The new CEP will modernize and strengthen CMC’s heating, ventilation, air handling and power systems.
