SAN JOSE, Calif. – Gilbane Building Company has recently completed Evergreen Valley College’s Auto Technology project in San Jose, Calif. This is an important technical training facility for the college and the Evergreen community. Gilbane has been the construction management company overseeing the project. MC Industrial Tops Out Boeing’s St. Louis Composite Center of Excellence Facility
ST. LOUIS, Mo. — MC Industrial, Inc. recently celebrated the topping out of one of its major 2016 projects, the expansion of Boeing’s new composite facility, the St. Louis Composite Center of Excellence, in Missouri. Selected as general contractor for the Design-Build project in 2014, MC Industrial, along with design partner Burns & McDonnell, have managed the design and construction of the multi-million dollar expansion. Construction Employment Rises in 44 States, D.C. Over 12 Months
Forty-four states and the District of Columbia added construction jobs between January 2015 and January 2016 while construction employment increased in 30 states and D.C. between December and January, according to analysis of Labor Department data recently released by the Associated General Contractors of America. Construction Growth Slowing, Not Stopping in 2016
CHICAGO, Ill. – The copious growth of the construction industry in 2015 is fueling continued strong activity in 2016. According to JLL’s latest report on nonresidential construction activity, the rate of growth in construction is slowing—yet, starts continue at a strong pace. The catch: growth is expensive.
