Work Begins on 100,000-SF Facility at America’s Central Port

The Korte Company will begin construction on a 100,000-square-foot Design-Build warehouse facility within America’s Central Port, located in Madison, Illinois, just five miles north of downtown St. Louis. The tilt-up structure, located at the region’s only full-service, public intermodal port, will include warehouse and office space for a private tenant. Architecture Billings Index Shows Slight Contraction

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Following a generally positive performance in 2015, the Architecture Billings Index has begun this year modestly dipping back into negative terrain. As a leading economic indicator of construction activity, the ABI reflects the approximate 9-12-month lead time between architecture billings and construction spending. The American Institute of Architects reported the January ABI score was 49.6, down slightly from the mark of 51.3 in the previous month.
