ALACHUA, Fla. — For the fifth consecutive year, NCCER is sponsoring the SkillsUSA Carpentry Competition at the 50th annual SkillsUSA National Leadership and Skills Conference held June 23-27 in Kansas City, Missouri. In addition, NCCER is sponsoring the SkillsUSA Masonry Competition for the second consecutive year. The competitions are part of the SkillsUSA Championships, which is the national-level competition for public high school and college/postsecondary students enrolled in career and technical education programs. Included are the $187-million One Ocean, in South Beach, Florida, and the $88-million Marea condominiums, also in South Beach. National Construction Association Joins Hiring Our Heroes Program

The Associated General Contractors of America announced it is joining the national Hiring Our Heroes program as part of the construction industry's effort to add 100,000 veterans over the next five years.
