Level 10 Construction provided Design-Build services for the 200,000-square-foot project, working with architect M+W Group, Integrated Engineering Services, Inc. and Degenkolb Engineering U.S.A. Gilbane Awarded New High School for Osceola School District
ORLANDO, Fla. — School District of Osceola County, Kissimmee, Florida, has awarded Gilbane Building Company the construction management at-risk contract to build a new 2,500- 3,000 student station high school. The campus, with a heavy emphasis on science, technology, education and math curriculum, and a collaborative learning environment, will include classroom buildings, media center, gymnasium, administration building, auditorium and music suite, and a cafeteria with a possible shared kitchen for a future middle school. ASCC Initiates Mentoring Program
ST. LOUIS, Mo. — The Emerging Leaders Committee of the American Society of Concrete Contractors, St. Louis, Missouri, has initiated a mentoring program for its contractor and associate members. “The program seeks to unite seasoned concrete construction professionals with members of lesser experience in a guided program to share knowledge and expertise,” says Greg Hyde, Hyde Concrete, and an EL Committee member. Kaplan Construction Renovates Lab at Northeastern University
BOSTON, Mass. — Kaplan Construction has recently been selected by Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts, to renovate a laboratory for the College of Engineering. In its first project on Northeastern’s Boston campus, Kaplan will renovate an existing interior laboratory at the Egan Engineering/Science Research Center and install new mechanicals, lighting, fire alarm, finishes and millwork to create a new experimental laboratory.
