First Steel Erected at New Sacramento Kings Arena

The first piece of steel was recently installed at the Entertainment and Sports Center in the heart of downtown Sacramento, California. The ESC will serve as a civic indoor/outdoor space for the region, as well as the new home for the Sacramento Kings. The first piece of steel was installed at (what will become) the team's new practice facility. The steel was supplied and fabricated by Schuff Steel, with help from subcontractor Pacific Erectors. Construction Firms Add 29,000 Jobs in February, Industry Employment Level Reaches All-Time High

Construction employers added 29,000 jobs in February and 321,000 over the past year, reaching the highest employment total in six years, as the sector’s unemployment rate fell to an eight-year low of 10.6 percent, according to an analysis by the Associated General Contractors of America.
