NEW YORK — Turner Construction Company, the nation’s leading general builder, has been awarded a $100 million contract to manage the renovation and expansion of Harrah’s Cherokee Hotel Casino in Cherokee, N.C. Construction is underway with completion of the multi-phased project scheduled for January 2013. Westfield’s 1800 Larimer Office Tower Achieves Highest LEED Platinum Certification in U.S.
DENVER, Colo. — 1800 Larimer, the Denver Central Business District’s first high-rise office in more than 25 years, has been awarded LEED Platinum certification by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), Westfield Company, Inc. announced today. Alabama Construction Industry Launches Campaign to Combat Looming Shortage of Skilled Workers
“Dirty Jobs” executive producer and host Mike Rowe to appear in campaign MONTGOMERY, Ala. — Approximately one third of all skilled tradesmen in the construction industry are over the age of 50. With their retirement on the horizon, training programs are not producing enough young workers to replace those exiting the industry.
