ACPA Announces Safety Training for Contractors

The American Concrete Pumping Association has announced its Coworker Safety Training program, scheduled to launch spring 2025. Designed for contractors who work with and around concrete pumps, the program aims to bolster safety and education for more than 56,000 concrete contractors across the U.S. The Coworker Safety Training program represents ACPA’s initiative to build a more educated, safer workforce not only for pumpers, but also for the contractors and others working on concrete pumping job sites. American Concrete Pavement Association Announces New Board of Directors Chair

The American Concrete Pavement Association has announced Don Weaver, president of Weaver-Bailey Contractors, as the chairman of the Board of Directors in 2025. Weaver has 50 years of experience in the concrete paving industry, more than 45 of those years being with Weaver-Bailey Contractors, which is based in Conway, Arkansas. Since 2002 he has served as the president and CEO of the company, responsible for all areas of business operations. ACPA’s Safety Campaign Microsite Wins Hermes Creative Award

The American Concrete Pumping Association has announced that WeAreSaferTogether.org has been recognized with a Gold Award by the Hermes 2023 Creative Awards. Marketing consultant and association management services firm AOE worked with the ACPA to develop the microsite as a key component of a safety campaign that brings heightened awareness of ASME B30.27, the safety standard for material placement systems, to concrete pumpers and contractors.
