The Construction Management Association of America announced that Michael Mendick, PE, CCM, a district engineer with the Connecticut Department of Transportation, became the new chair of the CMAA Board of Directors at CMAA2026, the association’s national conference in Denver, Colorado. Mendick has been with CTDOT for over 30 years, having started as an engineering intern. He is currently overseeing the construction of capital construction projects for public transportation and major facilities throughout his state. Cleary brings more than two decades of commercial leadership, strategic vision and industry experience to his role. The International Code Council appointed Andy Higgins, customer success division executive director for the city of Seattle, Washington, Department of Construction and Inspections, to its 2024-25 Board of Directors. The American Concrete Pavement Association has announced Don Weaver, president of Weaver-Bailey Contractors, as the chairman of the Board of Directors in 2025. Weaver has 50 years of experience in the concrete paving industry, more than 45 of those years being with Weaver-Bailey Contractors, which is based in Conway, Arkansas.
