An expansion of the emergency room at Methodist Landmark Hospital in San Antonio, Texas is complete. Adolfson & Peterson Construction broke ground on the project in April 2025. Designed by LK Design Group, the expansion adds 1,850 square feet to the existing ER, creating space for six additional patient beds, restrooms and secure holding to support the hospital’s increased demand for emergency care. The expanded ER will help the hospital manage higher patient volumes, improve flow and reduce overcrowding, enhancing the experience for patients and staff. Adolfson & Peterson Construction, a national, family-owned construction management and contracting company, commenced construction on the interior build-out of a new Cook Children’s clinic in Arlington, Texas. Construction is expected to be completed by Jan. 2026. The project involves the first-generation finish-out of an existing 6,734-square-foot, single-story shell building. Adolfson & Peterson Construction was recently awarded the construction and renovation contract for Austin Independent School District’s Anderson and McCallum High Schools. Anderson High School, in Northwest Austin, Texas, was built in 1970. The renovation includes a 43,350-square-foot competition gym with an 1,800-seat capacity and locker rooms with coaches’ offices, training rooms, officials’ dressing rooms and laundry. Common spaces will feature a Hall of Honor and trophy cases, while the entry vestibule and front office will be reconfigured for security.
