Terminal D Pier West Tops Out at Houston Airport 

Over 350 people gathered to celebrate the topping out of the new D West Pier at the George Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston, Texas. Staff from Houston Airports, Fentress Architects and consultants, Austin-Gilbane Joint-Venture and the subcontractors participated in the beam ceremony and an appreciation lunch. When the project is complete, the international carrier gate capacity will increase to 18. Stantec to Provide Architecture, Engineering Design Services for New Airport Control Tower in Anchorage

Stantec was selected by the Federal Aviation Administration to provide architecture and engineering design services for the new airport traffic control tower and terminal radar approach control base building in Anchorage, Alaska. The facility will provide air traffic control for Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport, which also includes the Lake Hood Seaplane Base. ANC is the gateway to Alaska and the U.S. with approximately 5.7-million passengers and more than 3 million tons of cargo passing through the airport each year.
