NCCER, Build Your Future Celebrate 2024 Careers in Construction Month Results

The National Center for Construction Education and Research and its Build Your Future initiative recently celebrated the 12th annual Careers in Construction Month. The campaign aimed to increase public awareness of construction careers and inspire the next generation of craft professionals. Requests to state governments to proclaim October as CICM were filed by residents in 26 states and U.S. territories, with 16 states issuing an official proclamation. Residents who submitted a successful proclamation request were entered into a raffle to win a BYF prize package. Build Your Future Unveils Construction Career Tool

NCCER has expanded its Build Your Future initiative by launching CareerStarter. This new national program leads individuals beyond career exploration to direct connections with local training programs and entry-level jobs. This will get them started on a construction career pathway that fits their interests. NCCER worked with Futures, Inc. to bring its Pipeline technology platform to the construction industry.
