SEAA Names Person of the Year, Lifetime Achievement Recipients

David Deem, president of Deem Structural Services, Longview, Texas and Bob Beckner, retired senior VP of Peterson Beckner Industries, Inc., Dallas, Texas, were recently honored by the Steel Erectors Association of America. Joint-Venture Team Wins Project of the Year, Partnering Awards

Joint-venture partners Sundt Construction, Inc. and Kiewit continue to earn awards for their work on the Ina Road Traffic Interchange. The two-and-a-half-year project was recently awarded the 2020 “Public Works Projects of the Year” by the Arizona Chapter of the American Public Works Association in the category of Transportation: over $75 million and the 2019 Arizona Department of Transportation Partnering Award. The construction manager at-risk project involved reconstruction of the interchange at Ina Road as a precast concrete bridge overpass to I-10. Six steel erection companies have been named as recipients in the annual Project of the Year awards by the Steel Erectors Association of America.
