Thomas J. Foley, P.E., CCM, DBIA, commissioner of the New York City Department of Design and Construction, has joined Design-Build Institute of America as chair of its 2025 National Board of Directors. Foley, who has overseen the ongoing successful implementation of a Design-Build program for New York City municipal construction projects, began his term Jan. 1, alongside a newly appointed slate of board leaders and two new board members. The Design-Build Institute of America announced the 2024 National Design-Build Project/Team Award winners. Sixty-three projects from across the U.S. –– and one in Antarctica –– were submitted for consideration across 10 categories. Submissions were evaluated by a panel of industry experts.
