A 17,284-square-foot Temporary Flying Squadron Facility for the 33d Flying Training Squadron at Vance Air Force Base in Enid, Oklahoma is complete. Ramtech Building Systems served as Design-Build firm on the project. The single-story modular building complex will be used for pilot training as part of a program aimed at increasing the graduation rate to address the shortage of pilots that exists within the U.S. Air Force. Plenary Consortium Selected for Corner Brook Acute Care Facility Project
Corner Brook Health Partnership consortium has been selected to design, build, finance and maintain a new acute care hospital in Corner Brook, located in Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada, with an estimated contract value of $750 million. The new seven-story, 600,000-square-foot hospital will be connected to the 145-bed long-term care home that Plenary Health is building on the site. It will have 164 beds with the same services provided at Western Memorial Regional Hospital, as well as an expanded cancer care program including radiation services. BNBuilders, and its Design-Build partner Roesling Nakamura Terada Architects, join Fullerton College in commemorating the progress of the university’s campus expansion. Ground has been broken on a 76,000-square-foot addition to Reno Orthopedic Clinic in downtown Reno, Nevada. The four-story addition will connect to the existing 57,000-square-foot clinic. Upon its completion in fall 2020, the new facility will enhance the clinic’s services including physical therapy, with the addition of an advanced imaging center and the expansion of ROC Express Urgent Care, where patients can receive fast treatment with no appointment required. Urban High-Rise Hotel in Chicago Built Lean + Green
A newly opened 17-story, 206-room Home2 Suites by Hilton Chicago River North, located in Illinois, recently opened. Mortenson teamed up with lead developer and owner Akara Partners on the $67-million extended-stay hotel, one of the few Home2 Suites by Hilton’s urban high-rise hotels, while also serving as the Design-Builder with Norr Architects.
