Just in time for the start of second-semester classes, College of Lake County finished moving into a completely remodeled C Wing, which marked the final phase of Mortenson Construction’s multi-year, $50-million renovation and expansion project at the school’s main Grayslake, Illinois campus. Starting in 2015, Mortenson demolished and rebuilt 190,000 square feet and added 30,000 square feet to the community college’s primary two buildings. Skanska Awarded Contract to Develop Virginia Tech Biomedical Research Addition

Skanska USA has been awarded a $68-million contract to complete the Virginia Tech Carilion Biomedical Research Addition, a 140,000-square-foot building on the Virginia Tech Carilion Health Sciences and Technology Campus in Roanoke, Virginia. This project, while contracted with Carilion Clinic, is a collaboration between Carilion Clinic and Virginia Tech. AECOM is the architect. The project is expected to be completed in February 2020. Harrah’s Ak-Chin Casino Resort Expansion Celebrates Topping Out

AK-CHIN INDIAN COMMUNITY – Sundt | Yates Construction and Harrah’s Ak-Chin Casino celebrated the topping out of a new 12-story, 230-room hotel tower last month. Members of the project team signed the final steel beam before workers placed it on the structure.
