Gilbane Federal has been awarded a multiple award construction contract by Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command Southeast for the construction of a Littoral Innovation and Prototyping Facility at Naval Support Activity Panama City, Florida. The project supports the Naval Surface Warfare Center Panama City Division and will replace nine buildings that received damage from Hurricane Michael in October 2018. The work provides for construction of a 54,475 square-foot laboratory, and support space capable of housing workspace and laboratories for engineers and scientists. Gilbane Building Company has completed the renovation and expansion of the new Grand Avenue Neighborhood Center for the City of Orlando, Florida. Gilbane partnered with Borrelli + Partners and JCB Construction to provide Design-Build services to expand and renovate an existing 1926 Mediterranean revival architecture building that originally served the community as a school. In 1995, the building was designated as a historic landmark.
