Gilbane Building Company has earned top honors at the 2023 National Design-Build Institute of America Conference in National Harbor, Maryland. The company was the design-builder for the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority’s new D.C. headquarters, which was selected for the 2023 Chair’s Award, and the owner’s representative for the California Department of General Services 1021 O Street State Office Building, which was selected for the 2023 Project of the Year award. Once complete, this will be the first House of Sport located directly in an urban center. Gilbane Building Company Breaks Ground on Bullard-Havens Technical High School

The Connecticut Technical Education and Career System, Gilbane Building Company and JCJ Architecture have broken ground on the new Bullard Havens Technical High School in Bridgeport, Connecticut. Designed by JCJ, the new 215,000-square-foot school will be built on the existing 24-acre site in multiple phases over a 41-month schedule to accommodate existing operations.
