Gilbane Building Company has been selected by the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts as the Construction Manager at Risk, charged with planning and supervising construction of the museum’s upcoming renovation and expansion project, which includes the James W. and Frances G. McGlothlin Wing II, the largest expansion in its history. The company will be responsible for coordinating and supervising the construction of the museum’s new, additional wing and renovations to existing spaces, including VMFA’s Leslie Cheek Theater. Gilbane | Turner in Association with 34 Group Selected to Build Stadium for the Buffalo Bills

The joint venture of Gilbane Building Company and Turner Construction Company in association with 34 Group, has been selected by Pegula Sports & Entertainment to provide construction management of the planned new NFL stadium for the Buffalo Bills in Orchard Park, New York. The project team also includes the project management firm, Legends Project Development and Populous as the designer.

Michael Driscoll School Tops Out in Massachusetts

Officials from the Public Schools of Brookline joined students, alumni, families, educators, neighbors and representatives from Leftfield, Jonathan Levi Architects and Gilbane Building Company to celebrate the topping out of the 155,000-sqaure-foot Michael Driscoll School in Brookline, Massachusetts. The facility will address concerns regarding a growing student population within the district, accommodating nearly 800 students in grades pre-kindergarten through eighth. Officials from the DC Bilingual Public Charter School joined representatives from Gilbane Building Company and Hord Coplan Macht to celebrate the official ribbon cutting of the 27,000-square-foot addition to DC Bilingual’s Ward 5 campus in Washington, D.C. Designed by Hord Coplan Macht, this phased-occupied modernization project included an addition to the existing building, which expanded its current campus and increased student capacity to more than 700 students.
