Gilmore Construction, Kiewitt Partner on Montbello Freshlo Initiative

The Montbello Organizing Committee’s board of directors has selected Kiewit, in partnership with Gilmore Construction, as the general contractors for the $55-million Montbello FreshLo Hub development located in Denver, Colorado. The FreshLo development plan was created by engaging with thousands of Montbello residents over three years, which resulted in the basis for the future creation of a large-scale project with a community-driven vision for healthy food, cultural arts, equitable economic development and affordable housing. The Fertility Center of Las Vegas Breaks Ground on New Facility

The Fertility Center of Las Vegas, and Design-Build general contractor SR Construction, broke ground on the brand-new Fertility Center of Las Vegas in southern Nevada. The project will consist of the ground-up construction of an 18,500-square-foot fertility clinic, development of the site including the installation of site utilities and traffic signals and other offsite improvements. The center, which will be a part of a nearly 4.5-acre commercial property, will also house an ambulatory surgery center and laboratory. Construction is expected to be complete by mid-2022. The city of Avondale broke ground on a significant capital project that will be a showpiece at The BLVD, a new development along Avondale Boulevard in the Phoenix, Arizona suburb. City officials were joined by general contractor Willmeng Construction Inc., and J2 Engineering & Environmental Design, for a virtual groundbreaking ceremony on the new water features project. Ground Broken on Rehab Unit for West Marion Community Hospital

Ground was recently broken on West Marion Community Hospital’s inpatient rehabilitation unit for Ocala Health. Located in Ocala, Florida, the nearly 44,500-square-foot, 36-bed expansion will become the hospital’s first inpatient rehabilitation unit. The unit will also feature a gym for physical and occupational therapy, as well as its own dedicated dining area. It is slated for completion in late 2022. Robins & Morton is serving as the general contractor and Gould Turner Group is the architect.

Purdue University Breaks Ground on New Home of Bands & Orchestras at Hagle Hall

Marc and Sharon Hagle recently joined officials of Purdue University, located in West Lafayette, Indiana, for the groundbreaking ceremony of Marc and Sharon Hagle Hall, the new home of Purdue Bands & Orchestras. Approved by the Purdue Board of Trustees in December 2019, the $20-million, 37,500-square-foot, four-story facility will be built along Third Street’s Student Success Corridor, which connects student residential areas with the campus’ academic center. The facility is named for Marc and Sharon Hagle in honor of their $10 million leadership gift.
