McCarthy Completes USDA Food Safety Midwestern Laboratory

McCarthy Building Companies has joined the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service to announce the completion of the Midwestern Laboratory in St. Louis. Following the installation of laboratory equipment in July, the facility is set to open shortly thereafter. Representing a significant milestone in FSIS’s commitment to public health and food safety, the 84,000-square-foot, single-story facility was designed by Hoefer Welker. High-Tech Replacement Hospital in Georgia Tops Out

CHI Memorial Hospital Georgia, a member of CommonSpirit, in Catoosa County, Georgia, has topped out. The 134,000-square-foot hospital is scheduled to open in January 2026. The $126-million project budget covers all aspects of the new hospital, from construction and infrastructure to interior furnishings and advanced medical equipment and furnishings essential for patient care. The new 64-inpatient hospital is replacing the current CHI Memorial Hospital Georgia and will connect to the current CHI Memorial Parkway building, serving as an anchor for its medical campus. TCU’s Burnett School of Medicine Breaks Ground in Fort Worth

TCU broke ground on the newly named Anne Burnett Marion School of Medicine at Texas Christian University. The University’s first major off-campus development, known as the Burnett School of Medicine, will further advance TCU’s mission to transform healthcare by inspiring its 240 Empathetic Scholars when the new building opens in Summer 2024.
