Development and construction firm Skanska has been selected to construct a central energy plant for Wake Technical Community College’s seventh physical campus, Eastern Wake 4.0, in Wendell, North Carolina. The name Eastern Wake 4.0 denotes the term Industry 4.0, a reference to a fourth industrial revolution with the intelligent networking of machines and processes with information and communications technology. PORR Wins S16 Expressway Infrastructure Project in Poland

PORR S.A. and the Polish General Directorate for National Roads and Motorways signed a contract for Design-Build project for the S16 expressway Olsztyn-Ełk, in the section from Borki Wielkie to Mrągowo. The 13-kilometer-long expressway section will be built within a three-year period along with the construction of the Mrągowo ring road. The contract is worth around EUR 115m. AGC Reports Construction Employment Increases in February, Industry’s Unemployment Rate Sets New Low

Construction employment increased by 42,000 jobs in February and by 223,000 or 3% over the past 12 months, as the industry’s unemployment rate hit a new February low, according to an analysis of new government data by the Associated General Contractors of America.
