BAM Ireland has been awarded the Design-Build contract for four new national schools in Dublin and Cork, Ireland as part of a Department of Education’s Design and Build Framework Schools Bundle in a joint venture with Glasgiven Contracts. The four new school projects are located at Ballinteer, Cherrywood and Knocklyon in Co. Dublin, while the fourth is at Carrs Hill, Douglas, Co. Cork. Work has already commenced on all four sites. The Bureau of Overseas Buildings Operations recently celebrated the groundbreaking of the new office annex for the U.S. Embassy in Bangkok. Chargé d’Affaires Michael Heath and Director-General Witchu Vejjajiva of the Department of American and South Pacific Affairs, Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs were joined by other distinguished guests for the ceremony. Ten individuals from the United States, South Africa, Cameroon, France, England and Germany selected this hospital because of the greatly deteriorated condition.
